I'm just trying to start up my own cake business so I am still quite new to all this. I decided that I like the name 'The Cake Tin' for my new business, i think its quirky and a little bit different. If I ever do manage to own my own little teashop then this is the name it will have, so look out for this teashop and if you ever see it you will know that I have reached my dream.
I recently found out that I am going to be made redundant from my full time job at the council so have decided that this is my chance to focus on what I love doing and that is baking cakes.

Homespun and Vintage Fair
I was asked to make some cakes for the ‘Homespun and Vintage Fair’ which took place last Saturday in Pickering . The fair was organised by two friends of mine Linda and Cheryl, who absolutely adore vintage. They own the most beautiful vintage items and make the most fabulous gifts all which they sold at the fair.
I made yummy cupcakes decorated with sugar flowers, iced hearts and pearls and wrapped in lace and ribbon. I also made iced fruit cakes and fruit nut glazed fruit cakes.
It was an absolutely brilliant day with lots of people who came and indulged. The day was so successful that Linda and Cheryl are planning the next fair.
